Allison is a genius. I feel like I have more to say in this post, but really, all it needs is reiteration of Allison's genius.

What ten songs would be in your character's favorite mix tape/playlist/top ten of MOST AWESOME SONGS EVER?

For the operatic tracks on here, he would likely have favorite recordings by certain singers, but fuck it, I am not that dedicated.

NO REALLY, HOW OLD IS THIS GUY?: A PLAYLIST

  1. "Norwegian Wood," The Beatles
  2. "Ingemisco," from Messa da Requiem, Verdi
  3. "My Funny Valentine," from Babes in Arms, sung by Ella Fitzgerald
  4. "Che Faro Senza Euridice?" from Orfeo ed Euridice, Gluck
  5. "Chasing Cars," Snow Patrol
  6. "Sous le dôme épais" (the Flower Duet), from Lakmé, Delibes
  7. "Sing," Carpenters
  8. "Black or White," Michael Jackson
  9. "Violet Hill," Coldplay
  10. "Nessun dorma," from Turandot, Puccini (fuck the haters, he sang that shit in Philly)

Also, lol you can tell that I don't actually listen to Coldplay based on the song I chose because apprently there is a line about priests with guns. Whoops. Oh well, he is not a Catholic.

ngl, Steve's music is literally, for the most part, "pretentious indie shit that I have heard that I probably should listen to but I don't." Also, the reason he and Charlie James are friends? They have the same taste in music.

A PLAYLIST THAT IS OBVIOUSLY COOLER THAN YOURS

  1. "We're Gonna Make It," DeVotchKa
  2. "Re: Stacks," Bon Iver
  3. "Inaction," We Are Scientists
  4. "Fine for Now," Grizzly Bear
  5. "Lion in a Coma," Animal Collective
  6. "Stay in the Shade," José González
  7. "Bird Gehrl," Antony and the Johnsons (oh god this guy's voice unnerves me so much, I can't stand him singing duets with Rufus Wainwright and Bjork)
  8. "Brainy," The National
  9. "God Bless the Ottoman Empire," A Hawk and a Hacksaw
  10. "Monochrome," Yann Tierson

IT'S OKAY. I only actually listen to A Hawk and a Hacksaw, and occasionally Animal Collective when I feel like listening to music that isn't actually music (lol sorry). The rest show up on "similar artists" or "recommended for you" on my Last.fm.
