Because I am nostalgic for the mountain cabin meme and it is cold here, I have thought of a new one! It is almost 4 a.m. on a Saturday, so.

Name one of my characters and one or more others, and I will tell you what happens when they are stranded on a desert island together. How did they get there? What is the island like? Do they get off? Etc.

During January break, after the requisite Dean-Fueled School-Wide Disaster, Steve decided that he'd had enough of Neopolis and needed to get out again. His last crazy adventure was a success, if not quite as fulfilling or life-changing as he'd hoped, and he decided that he would sail across the Pacific this time, from Neopolis to Sydney, making the same stops in Tahiti and Bay of Islands that Charles Darwin did. When Tibby Bradley caught wind of this plan, she insisted that she accompany him, for reasons both selfless and selfish. Yes, of course she wanted to make sure her friend was safe, but one of her idols, a clockwork engineer who styled herself "Madam Von Petticoats" was giving a lecture in Sydney the day after the projected arrival time.

So, two genius-level teenagers on a jet engine-powered sailboat blasting across the Pacific. What could go wrong? A lot, apparently. They blew ever-so-slightly off course, the jet speed only compounding their problems by getting them lost that much faster. They were even outside of satellite zone on their GPS. Eventually, Tibby sighted land, and, having given up on the jet engines, Steve consented to drift towards it.

They were lost, they had three days until Madam Von Petticoats' lecture, and their only means of communication with the outside world was through the magical Neopolis Academy network. You do the math.
